"We left our two kittens in the care of Claire at Ferndene in October 2013.  This was the first time they had ever been left with strangers and Ferndene was the only cattery we viewed that we felt comfortable leaving our kitties at.  From the accomodation with a thermostatically controlled heated area and a safe enclosed outdoor area, to the caring attitude of Claire and her sister, this is the only place we will consider leaving our cats in future - thanks Claire, the text mid holiday letting us know they were fine was such a lovely touch."

"I can't praise this cattery enough, we had looked at a few others in the local area and found this to be the best by far to leave our kitten Oscar in. We had never left him before so we were a bit apprehensive but Claire reassured us he would be well looked after and he certainly was. My son Jacob was upset at leaving him so Claire made sure she sent picture messages, letting him know how he was and what he was up to, which was a lovely gesture. She also asked Jacob if he would like her children to go in and play with Oscar, so he wouldn't be too lonely, which Jacob was really happy about. It really is a family business, run by people who genuinely love cats. We really can't recommend this place highly enough and have no hesitation about leaving him again in September."

"We first started using Ferndene Cattery 13 years ago...we had just got 2 rescue kittens following the death of our beloved 18 year old cat...our cats were 16 weeks old when they first met Claire and her family...Aunty Claire as she is now! Our boy cat is very nervous due to his life before us but he gained the trust of Claire and her mum and her sister....they took their time with him...welcoming him...treats...grooming him. His sister is totally different to him, only ever wants to be at home but settles with her brother. 13 years on our cats still go to Ferndene. A place we put our complete trust in knowing our cats are safe and well looked after...they get to watch the wildlife in the outdoor run and feel cosy in the indoor area. I would take them nowhere else."

I usually take some items from home such as her scratching post, brush and her fluffy blanket to help her settle in and when I return to collect her, she has always been well groomed and is tat free!
